Art reproduction is one of the major areas of emphasis at Heinrich. We use a four-color process approach, whereby we print cyan
(blue), magenta (pink), yellow and black inks over one another to form many different hues of color.
The color palettes used for ceramic and glassware have more limitations than are present with standard commercial printing. To compensate for this, we can "boost" the image with a fifth, sixth or even seventh color. This gives us the rich reds, blues and greens that stand-alone process printing can lack.
Four-color process is a cost effective way to get a photo-realistic rendition of artwork. We use many different types of color for a range of firing temperatures, from low fire lead crystal to tempered glass and specialized applications. Ceramic pigments are available for onglaze, inglaze and underglaze firing.
Heinrich specializes in four-color process printing with
heavy metal free colors.
